WOW!! A crazy week to say the least!! Being District Leader is CRAZY!!! Lots of new responsabilities!!
So to start off, I'd like to talk about food. We went to a place this week that looks a lot like Texas Roadhouse from the outside, and serves meat as if it were Texas Roadhouse. XD We bought what's called the Parrillada, which was a TON of meat all served on a platter with live coals underneath to keep it warm. The only two meats that I'm decently sure that you can't find in the states were the blood sausage and the intestines. Not very good, but hey!! It's food!! :D:D:D
So we were able to find a couple of investigators this week, as well as have an investigator have a breakthrough. The two new investigators names are James and Jimena. James is one of the most interesting people I know. 32 years old, plays the sport of "squash", can deadlift 250 lbs with (only) his right arm, has only two worries in life which are 1.Picking up girls and 2. food. He speaks 3 languages and has a degree as a tourguide, but is currently working as a ball boy and makes almost nothing. :o He's interested though, so we're going to continue teaching him and see how he progresses.
The other new is Jimena. She has a brother that recently got his mission call, and she wanted to know a bit more about the religion because she isn't member. We had a FANTASTIC lesson 1, and she loves the idea of a Restoration. The only problem is her husband, who is a very closed-minded catholic that doesn't want her sharing with us. So until now, we have given her a Book of Mormon, and she's reading it, but she's going to inform us when she can meet, which almost never ends up working out. XD We'll see how it goes though. She seems like a really amazing person. :)
And then we have our investigator, Lorena, who we've been working with for a while now. She's had a very large barrier of being able to pray. It got to the point that we were asking her to repeat a prayer in a lesson and she couldn't do it!! So we decided to give her a priesthood blessing, and she prayed that night!!! Now she's progressing like CRAZY! Praying everyday and calling us to ask for reading assignments in the Book of Mormon!!! :D:D It's awesome to see how happy she is now as well! I think that's the biggest difference that I've seen.
And that's about it!! Thanks all for your support and love!! This is God's Work!!!! :D:D
Elder Robertson
Oh!! One last thing. Elder Troncoso died this week, but he spent his last night in our house!!!!
