Hey everyone! It's good to be emailing you again! A busy week this week!
First of all, we had some service with Hermana Ruby and stained some doors in her house, and I must say, they look GOOD! I'll throw on a picture. ;)
We had the baptism of Camila, who is 14 and after going to PFY (EFY) decided she needed to get baptized because she had a really spiritual experience! It was a great baptism, just a little scary up until it happened. What happened is the other Elders had a baptism last week, and the pump for the font broke, so we couldn't get the water out. :/ We tried to get someone to get it fixed throughout the week, and no one in the ward did anything. We didn't know who to call and we thought someone would get it done, but it got to Saturday and the water was still there, and starting to turn green. :/ We finally got the mechanic there at 2, he did some stuff, we got it emptied, and in the end, got it filled up right as the meeting for the baptism happened. Kinda scary but it turned out alright in the end!
So I hit my 6 month mark this week. :O:O It's gone by SO fast. I can't even explain, it has just been ridiculous. I decorated and then burned a tie. Pictures included. ;)
So during Sacrament meeting, a dog ran into the chapel. The bad part, no one did ANYTHING for about 2 minutes. It just ran around under the benches checking out peoples feet and stuff. In the end, I chased it, picked it up and took it outside. NEVER had I thought that that would happen in my mission... XD
So yeah, that's about been my week. I hope all is well with you all back home, and that you continue firm in the faith. A little spiritual thought for this week that I'd like to share. The Gospel isn't a list of rules that God has given us that restrict us and don't allow us to live freely, the Gospel is the GUIDELINES that God gives us to allow us to live free of the bondage of sin, because it keeps us from falling into paths that are only going to lead to heartache, sorrow, and long processes of repentance. I testify and promise you all that as soon as we see the Gospel as guidelines instead of rules, we're going to be SO much happier!
Have a great week all. My prayers are always with you. :)
