Wow. We're already halfway through this cambio, and halfway through the year. :l I don't think time has ever flown faster IN MY LIFE.
So this week, we had a few things happen. First of all, CHILE WON THE COPA AMERICA!!! We were able to see the games on Monday and also on Saturday. (Basically because our Mission President doesn't see a point to be working while everyone is watching the game, so instead he gave everyone permission to watch the games with an investigator, less-active, or new convert) It was a fight until the finish for Chile as well! Argentina had their chances to make goals, but in the end, Argentina screwed it up in the penalty kicks. :D
On Wednesday, I had a mini-cambio with Elder Leavitt. He's another Gringo from Utah, but he's very loving of the people and a fantastic missionary. In the night, I told him I was going to make him a protein shake because we had gone to the gym in the morning, and crap happened.
My first attempt, the blender freaked out and it made a little bit of mess, but the shake turned out REALLY bad. I decided to give it another try, but what I had forgotten was that we had the 2 electric heaters on, so when I turned on the blender, the breaker flipped. I then went, turned off the heaters, and flipped the breaker, WITHOUT TURNING OFF THE BLENDER. The result, A BIG MESS. It took us about 5 minutes of laughing and taking pictures to start cleaning up. XDXD
On Wednesday, just before the mini-cambio, we got together as a District in the morning and went on mini-exchanges to go hand out Book of Mormons (or would it be Books of Mormon? :o) to try to find some new investigators. The Elder I was with and I didn't find any new investigators, but we placed 2 Book of Mormons, so it was good! It was a pretty cool experience as well, talking with every single person we found, regardless of what they were doing. I feel like it was a good experience for us to be able to exercise our faith by putting it into action. :)
Thank you all for all of your constant support and prayers! Until next week!
