Wow, so I think this will be the last week I'll say it, but WHERE IS THE TIME GOING?!
This week we did a TON of service for a bunch of people. We helped our recent convert Hermana Ruth do some more painting for her house which was fun and we helped a less active, Segundo Jorquera, to put some fence posts into the ground in the backyard. I really do want to send pictures, honest, but I've still got the bugs on my memory cards and so I'm unable to at this time, but I'll get it fixed soon!
This week I also had a mini-cambio with Elder Ospina, a small Columbian who has a very interesting but friendly personality. XD He's got what I call the "Little man syndrome." But it was a very good mini-cambio in the end and I enjoyed it very much. :) The reason we had it was because we had the baptismal interview planned for Patricio, our investigator that's deaf, mute, can't read, and doesn't know normal Spanish sign language either. It's been really interesting teaching him to be honest. I feel like he does understand what we're talking about, but I'm not sure if he actually likes what he's seeing and believes it's true, or if he just accepts it because his life is pretty boring and he would like something new and exciting. XD He wasn't there for his interview however, he got set up for work, and so it didn't happen, and we'll see what we're going to do from now on. We're starting to wonder if someone that doesn't necessarily know what's right or wrong or can even learn what's right or wrong needs to be baptized. :/ It's an interesting situation we have to say the least!
So a new food I had this week, and another reason to just love my companion, SOPAPILLAS! All they are are just flour and water pancaked and fried in a pan, but they are SO good! I just sprinkle some sugar on them and they're DELICIOUS! :D
So yeah! That's basically been my week. The weather's still super hot, if I get any tanner, people will probably start mistaking me for Chilean, and my appetite has not let up one bit. Members in the ward continue to tell me that they think I've grown in these 3 months, but I refuse to let them get my hopes up. ;)
I hope everything's FANTASTIC with you guys and that you are all enjoying the SNOW! I know that's probably one of the biggest things I'm missing at this point.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT! It really is appreciated. :)
Con Amor,
Hasta próxima semana,
Elder Robertson
