So this week has been a pretty normal week!! Just with a lot of service and a lot of Family Home Evenings!
On Wednesday we had a FHE with an investigator in the home of a member. We talked about the importance of paying attention to the voice of the Spirit and watched the Mormon Message about it. Our investigator liked it and I feel like it helped her to understand a bit more about the importance of paying attention to the spirit in her life.
On Friday, we did some service for a less active and cleaned out her backyard of all the weeds she had, and on Saturday, we got together as the 3 closest zones of Concepción and went to a High School to do some service painting around the school. The Principal was oh so happy with all the service we were providing, and we were happy to do it!
On Saturday night, we had another FHE with that same family we had done the service for and we talked about the Atonement of Christ and the importance of accepting it in our lives. We used a fantastic example as well, with a big old yellow pepper that we had bought and some other pieces of candy as well. We asked everyone to say something good that they had done this week and for everyone that could say that, we gave them a piece of candy. Then we asked who had done something bad this past week, and we gave them the pepper saying they had to eat it. Just before eating it though, my companion grabbed it and ate the whole thing instead. We explained that just as how my companion had eaten the pepper before they suffered, that Christ has done the same thing for us, through His Atonement. They all really liked the example in the end and we had a good time. :)
The only other piece of news is that we went to the zoo this morning, but I had gone recently so I had a good time basically repassing all of the animals. :D
And that's about it!! Thank you all for your constant love and support and have a fantastic week!!
