So it seems I've arrived at a point that everyone is telling me that I'm "old" in the mission, that I've got "little time left!" and "I've already got the smell of death around me." I continue saying that I've still got 9 months left!!! I don't know what the big deal is, that's a lot of time!!!
But anyways, this week we were very focused on finding investigators. We had a lot of appointments set up with futures that we contacted in the street, and in the end we now have 2 investigators with Baptismal dates in this month!! Sebastian has his date the 21st and Camila the 28th. Sebastian was a reference of the sector just to the side of ours. He had visited with the Elders a little because they were teaching the dad of his girlfriend. After he had gone to church twice in another chapel, they finally passed us the reference. :D He says that when he goes to church he just feels like it's the truth. Seems like he's a reference of GOLD. :D We're going to continue working with him and get him ready to be baptized the 21st!
Camila was a contact we did in the street, and she seemed really open to sharing with us and even going to church on Sunday. We set up an appointment with her in the chapel (she can't share in her house) and we had the Bishop there accompanying us. We shared with her about the Atonement and Baptism, and she said that if she can arrive at feeling that these things are true, then she will be baptized. She has her baptismal date the 28th, but we're going to see how things go. She seemed more interested in us than the lesson, so it's possible that she's a snake... :/
Something funny that happened this week is that in the lesson with Sebastian, a spider bit my companion. XD It started swelling up pretty bad afterwards, so we went to an "instacare" type place that they have here. My companion saw the spider and described it as a type of spider they have here that is called a "Rincon" spider. This spiders are SUPER dangerous, and a bite from them can leave a silver dollar sized hole in your skin. In the end, it wasn't rincon though, so we're good. :D
On Tuesday, we played Basketball!!!!!! That is officially the first time I've played basketball with the ward that I pertain to in my mission. 14 MONTHS!!! Imagine that!!! Basketball in the end isn't too popular here, but it's slowly gaining in popularity.
So that's about it for my week!! I hope you are all having a great time wherever you
are!!! The Gospel's true!!
