Buenas Dias a todos! Me alegre a poder hablarles un poco de esta semana pasada.
And hopefully all of you understand that little bit of Spanish. XD If not, it says, "Good morning to all of you! I'm excited to be able to tell you guys a little bit of this past week." :D
So yeah, it was a pretty tranquil week. We had a fast on Saturday as a zone to help us to know that God's requisites are for us to be successful missionaries, but to apply to every person individually, because for every missionary, you have to apply it to their abilities. So that was a lot of fun! I gained some new revelation about how I can be better in the mission. :)
We found an ice cream place in our sector this week that sells the BEST ice cream I have EVER tasted! (That's probably because I haven't had ice cream from the states in like, 6 months) But still!
And yeah, other than that, we had a zone activity this morning where we played basketball and ate pizza. :D My favorite part had to be eating pizza!
So something I want to give a bit shout out to my mom and family this week. Before the mission, we started to give food to the missionaries, whether it would be a couple dozen eggs, a cake, whatever. I didn't realize the impact this had on the missionaries and their animo until now. Thank you Mom and Dad for always being so giving! :D
So I had a pretty cool experience with the Atonement this week as well. We have a less active we're working with to try to get him to come back to church, but he's got some problems with forgiving another member that goes to church. When I was studying for a lesson for him in the morning, an awesome thought came to mind.
The scripture I thought of is the one that says something along the lines of "if you have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?" But I changed the question at the end so that it applied to the situation.
"If ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask,
Can ye deny that someone else can feel the same??"
In the scriptures, we're commanded to forgive everyone, because we don't know their situation, what they've been through, or if they have humbled themselves and repented. That, and that the right to judge was bought ONLY by Jesus through the Atonement that he performed. In order for us to have that right, we would have to go through the same process that He did, because then and only then would we have bought the right to judge others.
I challenge you all to take it to heart this week to forgive an enemy, drop a grudge, or offer a helping hand to those that before have hurt you, be it a small act or a big act, because through this, we can all become a little more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, and show a little of his love to someone else.
I love you all! Have a fantastic week!

P.S. And remember, another part of the process of forgiveness and repentance is to forgive YOURSELF.
