There are a LOT of things that happened this week. I'll give you all a quick resumen:
Monday of last week, I left my backpack in Walmart (Líder) but someone turned it in instead of stealing it which NEVER happens here in Chile, Juan our investigator got married (!!!!!!) but then got sick and couldn't go to church to get confirmed :(, we had the farewell conference for President Arrington!!!! Had a mini-cambio on Friday with Elder Flores, Chile won the Copa America for the second year in a row!!! (Last year they won it for the first time in history, and so this is their second title. Just so happens they won these two times while I've been here in Chile... :o) this morning we had a chess tournament, and I came out undefeated!!!! :D:D Not much of an accomplishment in the end though, because latinos don't know how to play. XD
To go into a little more detail on a couple of those things, leaving Walmart, I pulled out all of the grocery bags and left my backpack sitting in the shopping cart. Now, the thing is that here in Chile, they're very well known for robbing things, so when we got off the bus in our sector, 30 minutes out from Walmart, I lost all hope. We headed back and I was praying the entire time, and when we got there, someone had grabbed my bag and turned it in to customer services. :O The tender mercies of the Lord are real!!!
President Arrington will be leaving soon after President Catala gets here on Wednesday. It's going to be crazy to see what all the changes are going to be, but it's going to be great as well!! It's time to whip this mission into shape!!
And that's basically it for this week!! I'll throw on a couple of pictures and say goodbye!! Have a great week all!! We'll see each other soon! :D
Elder Robertson
President Arrington and his wife, Elders and "Todo volado" means "everyone's drugged" basically. This is a part of our sector called the Isla. :D:D Lots of drugs and stuff floating around here, but luckily nothing happens to us!!
