WOW! Last week of the cambio. It feels like my new companion just got here, but we've already been together for more than a MONTH!!
Anyways, this week has been cold and rainy, but the rain only lasted until Thursday when I got my other rain boot... It seems the weather here in Chile likes messing with me. XD
So about the rain here. It is what the people call "lluvia acostada". Which means literally "rain lying down" or what it really means, is rain with a strong wind which makes umbrellas worthless and you get soaked if you don't have the right gear. Thankfully, this week I had all the gear except the before mentioned rain boots. It wasn't too bad though, I was able to make it through the rainstorms with my feet only getting partially wet. :D
So on Thursday I had a mini-cambio with Elder McArthur from Wyoming who is finishing his mission next week! It was a lot of fun and we put a baptismal date on 2 investigators!! Woohoo!!
On Saturday, we had a ward activity called "viaje a Hawaii" or "A Trip to Hawaii" which in the end had to do with our life here on Earth and which Kingdom we were going to inherit based on our acts here on the Earth. My companion and I were the pilots of the "plane" which was a bit of fun. XD We had no idea what we were doing and the technological skills of the chileans here isn't exactly "top quality" but in the end I believe everyone enjoyed it and were able to reflect on their lives and what their end goal really is.
On Sunday we had our Ward Conference and I sang in the choir. :D There are some Chileans here that sing really well! Either that, or I haven't heard a good singer in a while. XD
This morning we had a zone activity and watched Saratov Approach. References are a good thing and everything, but that movie makes me a bit slow to accept references now. XD
And other than that, I would just like to give a HUGE shoutout to my parents and thank them for the packages! My zone and I thank you for all of the wonderful goodies found therein! :D
Thank you all for your constant support and prayers. We are seeing miracles here and it's all thanks to Faith, because as the scriptures say, God works according to Faith, and without Faith, there can be no miracles.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
