Hey everyone! Another great week in the mission! Hope everything is great with all of you!
So this week, there was a LOT of rain. It rained for about 3 days straight at one point, and the intersections in our little neighborhood were like mini-lakes! I was able to stay dry using the rain pants that my parents sent me, so it wasn't too bad. :D
On Saturday, there was an activity that the Young Men in our Ward did which was REALLY cool! A member has connections with a Bakery and so he got ahold of a ton of large hot dog buns and him and the Young Men made 200 of them. Beforehand they had called the members of the ward to see who wanted to buy and how many. I told them I wanted 4. XD I'm a little nutty for the hot dogs here... They're SO much better than the ones in the States, I'm sorry to say!!
Other than that, there wasn't much else that really happened this week. We're working really hard on the Reactivation part of the mission work at the moment, and it's cool to be able to find people that have fallen off the path but that have needed just a small nudge to get them to jump back on. A good example would be the Family Mundaca Sandoval, who we found just this past week. They have been members for 20 years and inactive for 7 years now. They are all really cool and really animated to be able to get back into the church, and what's even greater is that they have a bit of incentive. They have a son that is 13 years-old, SUPER cool, and not baptized, and so they all have to goal of getting active so that he can have the blessings that come with a baptism.
And that's it for this week! Thank you all for your constant love and support, and I look forward to talking to all again next week!
