Well, officially the hottest week I've ever been through in my mission. The sun seems to be a bit upset over something and it's sure letting us know! XD
To be honest though, here in downtown Concepción, it's supposedly cooler than any other part of our mission... Go figure.
This week has been quite interesting! The 4 new investigators that we were able to share with last week are all lost. We haven't been able to establish contact with ANY of them. It's crazy how that happens sometimes in the mission, but I'll be honest, I'm already a little accostumed to it. My son on the other hand has been lamenting over that fact for the last 3-4 days. He's taking it pretty hard, but I'm trying to help him understand that it's part of the mission. :/
Now the good news! On Sunday, the stepfather of Lorena and Natalia went to church!!! His wife (who had a baptismal date, but now can't be baptized that day) was the one we had planned on coming to church, but Patricio (the stepfather) showed up ALL BY HIMSELF! Without his wife!! We were very surprised, and it turns out that he decided to come because of the testimony of his step granddaughter, Emily, who was baptized with her mom Natalia. The testimony of Emily to Patricio brought him to the decision that he needed to go to church and see what it was all about! :D We're going to start teaching him now and hopefully he can even help his wife out! :D
But yeah! That was about the gist of our week. Lastly, I'd like to give a HUGE shoutout to my sister, Brianna, who is turning 22 TOMORROW!! I love you so much sis!!!
God lives. We are His children, and this is His work. Of this I testify.
Love you all!! :D:D Have a great week!!
