Hello all! So sorry I didn't get an email off last week! The computer I was using had a sticky keyboard and it took forever to do anything with that! :D
So this week, we had a baptism. Her name is Ruth, and she's been an investigator for about 4 months. She had a lot of ups and downs but she finally decided it was time to receive the blessings that our Heavenly Father had in store for her.
So we had a mice problem. We ended up getting two mice in two days. The first was smaller, but when we got it, we found the peanut butter missing, so we figured there was another, because you know as the saying goes, "The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese." so we set up the trap again and got the second. :)
We had an electricity problem as well. (I know right?) So in Chile, they don't have multiple breakers to different rooms, there's just a rather large breaker outside where the electricity counter thing is, and there was a morning where we had just about everything that takes electricity running. The microwave, the water boiler, the heater, my speaker (gift from parents, LOVE YOU GUYS!), and then Elder Acton got in the shower (electric shower) and the power went out. We thought the breaker just flipped but when we flipped it back, there was still no power. We weren't sure what to do, so we called Elder Kauer (In charge of housing for missionaries) and he told us to call the owner, who told us to try a couple of tricks. After those didn't work, we tried to call the owner again, and he wouldn't answer. So we were without power and taking cold showers for a couple of days, which I honestly didn't think was all that bad, but the Elders in my house weren't too happy. ;) After all, we called the electric company, they sent a crew, and it was fixed within ten minutes, it just took us a couple of days to call them. XD
So there's a thing here called manjar. It's like peanut butter in the caramel form, and it is SO good. Ruth's cake had that and jam. I'm just gonna say, it's probably the best thing I've had in Chile so far. Oh yeah, the cake. XD It was Ruth's birthday when she was baptized. Probably should have added that. XD
I had a mini-cambio this week with Elder Llontop as well. He's a Peruvian that has 2 weeks left in the mission! He's a great zone leader and a great missionary and the mini cambio was great! :D
Well, hope all is well with everyone back at home. Again, disculpe que no pude hacer un carte la semana atrás. ;)
Love you all and hope you have a FANTASTIC week!
