Hey everyone!!!
This week has been pretty great! Last week on Monday we had a FHE with the Soliz Perez family. We had a great lesson about loving our neighbor as we love ourselves and then we ate AGRIPAS!! They are these patty things made out of corn from what the Hermana said, and they have cheese inside!! They were so ridiculously good!
On Wednesday, there was a big surprise waiting for us outside of our apartment when we left to work... Luis Duran!! He is a member from my first sector that we worked with a ton, and he has a habit of showing up randomly to work with missionaries that have passed through his sector. XD The crazy thing is that he had a mini-mission here in the sector that I'm in, so he knew where we lived and everything!! It was cool to be able to talk with him and know how the hilly city of Centinela is doing. :D
So another crazy thing happened. There's a member in our ward that is the director of the band of the carabineros (The police officers. Why they have a band? I don't know.) But the guy's so nice he's lending me a french horn!! I've played it a little bit, but it's hard living in an apartment, so we're going to head to the church to play a bit after this. :D:D Crazy how things happen!!
On Saturday, we played soccer with some of the members of the ward, and we WON! I was the only gringo there because the other missionaries couldn't make it, and in the end, I made the majority of the goals for my team! ;D;D Either Chileans aren't very good at soccer or I'm improving... Not sure which one to go with. XD
On Sunday, us 4 missionaries sang a hymn in Sacrament Meeting, and everyone was STUNNED! There were quite a few kids that starting applauding afterwards in fact... XD I think we are going to be expected to sing quite a bit more from now on!
So that's about it!! Thank you all for your constant support and we'll be talking to you next week!! Bendiciones!!
Con muchísimo amor,
Elder Robertson
I attached a random pic of my companion when he comes through the fish eye feature on my camera. XD He looks funny fat.
